Type E V-rings features a straight back that serves as an unpressurized axial rod seal with a very small mounting length and is fixed to the shaft. The flexible lip seals an opposing face at a right angle to the axis preventing dirt, dust and splashes from entering the construction.
The V-Ring V-E is designed for heavy use and is applied in situations where larger axial tolerances are required. This profile is delivered for axles from Ø450 to Ø2010 mm. These heavy-duty, large-diameter seals allow for the largest axial displacements. They are commonly used as side seals and in rolling mills to exclude dirt and water. The V-Ring V-E styles can be stretched up to 2 1/2 times their original diameter as well.
